Corpus Christi Catholic Parish was formed on July 1, 2011, by Bishop Richard Pates of the Des Moines Diocese.
The parish was a merger of Our Lady of Carter Lake Catholic Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, and Queen of Apostles Catholic Church. The three churches started a process of collaboration that the parish has now been implementing since 2002. Father Dan Kirby was assigned as the first pastor of Corpus Christi Parish.
Masses continue to be celebrated in each of the three worship sites. Most other functions have been merged into one communal celebration of the Catholic faith.
