Corpus Christi Catholic Parish was formed on July 1, 2011, by Bishop Richard Pates of the Diocese of Des Moines.

The parish was a merger of 3 parishes: Queen of Apostles, Holy Family, and Our Lady of Carter Lake Churches. The three churches started a process of collaboration that the parish has now been implementing since 2002. Father Dan Kirby was assigned as the first pastor of Corpus Christi Parish.
