The Hospitality Minister cheerfully greets people as they arrive for Mass. They create a welcoming environment by greeting parishioners and visitors. Hospitality Minister shows up 30 minutes prior to the beginning of Mass.This ministry promotes a welcoming atmosphere in the parish community! 

With an attitude of hospitality, they serve the assembly in varied ways during the celebration of the Mass. They are to be easily visible if someone needs assistance or directions to a particular area in the church. They assist in handing out worship aides for Mass. They may help seat people or assist the physically disabled or elderly. They inquire if anyone needs to have Communion brought to them in their pew. They take up the collection and help direct the community at Communion time. They distribute bulletins and other materials as needed. They are observant and stay alert so they can readily assist someone that becomes ill or has a medical emergency. After Mass, they ensure that everything is in order in the church and in the gathering space.  They should be able to help with any emergency situation that comes up before, during, or after Mass.
